Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman Collection

Wonder Woman first appeared in American comic books in 1941, during World War Two. Many of her stories showed her freeing herself from bondage, highlighting her courage and levels of independence. She was created by psychologist and writer, William Moulton Marston who drew on his inspiration from early feminism. With the men off to war, self-sufficient women were given the opportunity to work for an employer; away from their household chores which was a huge step towards gender-equality. Show your support for gender-equality by displaying your heroine alongside your heroes.
